An unflinching and razor-sharp satire exploring consumerism and the monotonous life of a disturbed and directionless woman working aboard a cruise ship. The Odyssey is a bleak and biting ride, with pitch-black humor and a progressively off-kilter protagonist. Reading it is a disorienting experience, with a hallucinogenic feel that becomes increasingly sobering as Ingrid nears closer and closer to her home: both on land, and within herself. Absolutely brilliant. ~ Reviewed by Madison Gallup

With a writing style comparable to Shirley Jackson and Jeanette Walls, this unforgettable gothic tale has earned a resounding 5 stars from me. The Cherry Robbers is an evocative and deeply emotive exploration of intergenerational trauma and grief, focusing on themes like family and feminism, and featuring some of the most haunting imagery I’ve seen to date. I loved this. ~ Reviewed by Madison Gallup

Lucy Foley’s newest thriller keeps the tried and true formula of her last two mysteries- multi- perspective, twisty, and punchy chapters that keep you flipping the pages late into the night. We follow Jess: a young Brit down on her luck looking for a fresh start. She decides at the last minute to stay with her journalist brother Ben in his fancy new Paris apartment. When Jess arrives and Ben is nowhere to be found, she’s left to solve the disappearance of her brother with little help from his eclectic group of neighbors, only these strange neighbors all seem to have a reason to want Ben to stay gone. I had so much fun with this propulsive and mind blowing mystery that kept me on my toes until the very end. Highly recommend! ~ Reviewed by Madison Gallup

I adored these weird little stories and fascinating explorations of the human condition in the digital age. Folk creates narratives that are essentially grounded in our reality and twists them into something absurd yet vaguely familiar- stories of tinder bots as real, tangible entities; a story about a void slowly absorbing the earth that brings up questions of faith, partnership, and existentialism; a love triangle set in a bone-melting ward, among other “out there” stories. Inquisitive, insightful, and always intrepid, this collection weighs heavily on my mind and is sure to leave a lasting impact. ~ Reviewed by Madison Gallup
