A spirited sequel to Maile Meloy's debut novel, Liars and Saints! The Santerre family is back again, each one trying to find their own happiness, hiding secrets, divulging secrets and sharing secrets. There is a lot going on in the story but it all pulls together nicely in the end. A fun read! ~ Reviewed by Liz Barnum

David Dornstein, the author's brother, was killed in the terrorist attack on Pan Am flight 103 over Lockerbie Scotland in 1988. This is a beautiful memoir of David's life and his struggle to be recognized as a writer and of the author's struggle to make sense of David's life and death. It is also the story of his own struggle to find a life of his own. The story is well written, deeply personal and a tribute to an adored brother. ~ Reviewed by Liz Barnum

Like myself, a child of the 60's, Gail Caldwell reflects back on how her involvement in the peace movement, women's liberation movement, her relationship with her father and her passion for classic literature brought her to where she is today. A nostalgic, well written memoir. ~ Reviewed by Liz Barnum

This is a different kind of read for me and I quite liked it. The dialogue is young, edgy, questioning and philosophical. The main character, Dwight is a 28 year old struggling with his inability to make firm decisions about his life and a strong desire not to make a decision that would cause him to fall into a life long rut that would take him nowhere. It was fun to follow him on his journey through this process, that never really ends. ~ Reviewed by Liz Barnum
