Murakami's most accessible work, and in some ways also his most personal. A wayward young man longs for an introverted beauty, although a death years ago continues to haunt them. If you're looking for somewhere to start with Murakami, this is the perfect jumping on point. This novel feels like being nostalgic for a place you've never been. ~ Reviewed by Chris Linendoll

"Some day soon, perhaps in forty years, there will be no one alive who has ever known me. That's when I will be truly dead - when I exist in no one's memory. I thought a lot about how someone very old is the last living individual to have known some person or cluster of people. When that person dies, the whole cluster dies, too, vanishes from the living memory. I wonder who that person will be for me. Whose death will make me truly dead?” ― Irvin D. Yalom
I'm not a poetry fan, so I'm unsure what about this book called to me. I am glad I was though, as this is a beautiful little volume, written in free verse, in which a mother and daughter attempt to retrace their family history through old photos, letters, and historical records. We all want to know more about our ancestors, but we often never spend the time truly looking into who these people were and what their lives were like. Don't we all want to be remembered? ~ Reviewed by Chris Linendoll

I love minimalism, even if I have a bit of a hard time committing myself to the lifestyle fully. In the meantime, there's beautiful books such as this to look at and get inspiration from. What I particularly love about Remodelista is that the authors are aware that real people exist and spaces often need to be functional WHILE looking good. Lots to love here! ~ Reviewed by Chris Linendoll

Once again, Chris Jericho has written a book that is both entertaining, informative, and inspirational. From his beginnings as a kid watching his dad play pro hockey for the New York Rangers, to his legendary career as a pro wrestler all over the globe, Jericho has done it all. This newest volume is something of a self-help guide, with Y2J basing each chapter around a life lesson. Readers will follow The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla on his journey back to the WWE main event, touring the world with his rock band Fozzy, and almost taking over the America's Funniest Home Videos hosting gig! ~ Reviewed by Chris Linendoll
