This is my favorite Bronte novel. The mystery surrounding Helen's life will keep you turning the pages in anticipation. Bronte paints a vivid and provocative picture of a woman desperate for independence, both domestic and emotional. ~ Reviewed by Cheryl Cornwell
If you are a fan of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice then you will love Baker's take on this classic tale of love, marriage, and manners. There are some great, unexpected twists here!
