Fine bone china is translucent, pure white in colour and is stronger and more chip-resistant than earthenware china. It has been made in Stoke-on-Trent since the 1790’s by famous pottery houses such as Spode, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, and Duchess China. Each ceramic mug takes 7 days to make; it is cast in a mould and is finished by hand by highly skilled glazers and lithographers.
