Joyce Anderson will share her book Royal Lightning: A Story About a Great Racehorse. This book gives young readers the opportunity to experience a broad range of emotions and events that can occur in anyone’s life. Joy, fear, challenges, success, failure, triumphs, happiness, sadness, hope and peace as well as the importance of creating strong lifelong bonds and unconditional love. The story is told through the eyes of an animal and there is no better animal to narrate this story than a young racehorse. The story follows Royal Lightning during the first three years of his life and all that he encounters both on and off the racetrack. .
Diane Capogna will share Puppy Comes Home, a story about Abbey Rose the Great Dane finding her forever home. It explores the world from her point of view, showing how exhausting but fun it is to be a puppy. Puppy Comes Home underscores the responsibility of having a puppy and what it means to be part of a loving family.
