Northshire Bookstore is delighted to welcome "King of the Birders" David Sibley for a special virtual event.
“The Sibley Guide to Birds was declared seminal even before it hit store shelves. 'Once in a great while, a natural history book changes the way people look at the world,' The New York Times gushed. An ornithologist from the Massachusetts Audubon Society called it “a quantum leap” over previous guide books. It was sold out everywhere after two weeks...Sibley’s newest book What It’s Like to Be a Bird..was published...just as the world went into lockdown, which turned out to be just the right timing...[making Sibley, king of the birders, the pandemic’s unlikeliest celebrity] and the book one of the most succesful of 2020." --The Boston Globe
