Davis’s book presents the dramatic, true stories of five enslaved people who were legally the property of four of America’s most honored men and greatest presidents – George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and Andrew Jackson. In his presentation, Mr. Davis will focus on some of the enslaved people whose stories are illuminated in the book—from Billy Lee to Ona Judge to Isaac Granger.
