I am building a super-secret tree fort!
It will have a rope ladder and walkie-talkies and it will be made of candy!
I will stand in the crows nest and count the pirate ships that pass by. There's even a basket so you can send snacks up to me. Wish I could tell you more about it but it's a secret...
Great sister story that any older sibling will relate to! ~ Reviewed by Leah Moore
"Octopuses like to hide. One is safe and snug inside...." as well as nine other short, bouncy pieces of text that gives you a peek at what octopuses are like. Longer, sidebar pieces of information allow this counting book to grow along with your science/animal/ocean minded child. The end continues the fun lessons into the world of the octopus by showing different breeds, facts and even compares the size of the octopuses to a human (one is even smaller than a human hand!) Also include fun craft ideas for children (and adults) of all ages. ~ Reviewed by Jeanette
Simple and sweet, Doi's lovely book captures the just-rightness of a child's day out. When Chirra and Chirri go for a bike ride, they find that the forest world not only welcomes the woodland animals, but that it has a place for them, too! What will they choose to drink at the forest cafe? What sandwich and jam will they pick from the forest bakery? These are Chirri and Chirra's most pressing concerns. Magical. ~Reviewed by Aubrey Restifo
A great read-aloud vehicle book full of rhyme, color, and every kind of "thing that goes" that your child could possibly want! Delightful in every way, this one is a perfect follow-up to favorites like Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site and Little Blue Truck. Ages 2-5, though vehicle-loving 6's and 7's may still enjoy this dreamy story. ~Reviewed by Aubrey Restifo
Does your little one like things that go? Then this is the alphabet book for them. Featuring different things that go (Hh is for Hot rod), their parts (Aa is for Axel) and things associated with them (Gg is for Grease) ABC’s on Wheels is a fun way to learn your ABCs! The illustrations add to the fun with their bright colors, shapes and clever references (check out who is enjoying a cup of tea on the Dd is for Double Decker page)! ~ Reviewed by Jeanette
