This is a fabulous collection that needs no further comment. For children who are just being introduced to Seuss, this hard cover collector's book is one that they can keep and read well into adulthood. For myself, I bought this book as an adult. For adult readers there are introductions to each story that give the historical and political circumstances under which each story was written. It may be interesting to older to readers to make connections between seemingly simple morals and the larger context of American and world history. Some of my favorite stories in this collection are Horton Hear a Who and the Sneetches. Yet, Green Eggs and Ham is nothing but fun. There is a reason that Dr. Seuss books have lasted this long...they are simply wonderful to read.
