This nonfiction graphic novel is an AMAZING story not just telling, but showing the perspective of what it’s like to grow up in the wrong body. This book is not for the easily disturbed, as it shows the horrors that can be gender dysphoria, both internally and externally. Do not let that discourage giving it a try, though. I strongly believe this book should be read by everyone, especially those in the transgender community. I have never related and felt more understood by a book in my life. Educational, emotional, and everything you need to experience to put yourself in the shoes of those who struggle with these situations everyday. Highly recommend. ~ Reviewed by Jules Wagner

Audre Lorde's distinctive voice offers insight into the Black, queer femme experience. Her teachings have helped carve a brighter feminist sphere, providing a much needed critique of the exclusive and dismissive white feminist perspectives that left her feeling, in her own words, like an outsider. ~ Reviewed by Maya Bon

Anne Lister is the lesbian icon you've likely never heard of. Throughout the early 1800s, she chronicled her business, social, and personal affairs in her numerous diaries, but in sections of code not broken until long after her death, she intimately recorded her radical fashion choices, crushes, and lovers. This fully decoded and transcribed edition, with notes provided by Helena Whitbread, is a fascinating glimpse into the daily life of a decidedly unique woman, the inspiration for HBO's compelling new series Gentleman Jack.

This book is unique for a non-fiction book. It approaches the reader as an “create-your-own-adventure” book. It takes the reader on a gender journey through life and ha smany different scenarios and outcomes. This could be a great introductory book to younger people who are just beginning to learn about gender and how it coincides with society. Even for someone who isn’t transgender or questioning, I still feel it could be a very fun read. Not to mention educational as well! ~ Reviewed by Jules Wagner

This book mentions every aspect of the asexual spectrums, and goes into in-depth detail about all the different sides of the spectrum, and more. I discovered at the age of 17 what asexuality is. As I researched it more, I came to realize I am a part of the 1% population that is asexual. People usually ask me a lot about asexuality and, sometimes, I don’t have exact answers. Or if I do know, I can’t always put it into words or phrases that would be understandable by someone who is not on the spectrum. I wish I had this book available to me years ago when I was just starting to figure all this out. I would highly recommend this book for anyone looking to understand themself or someone they know on the spectrum better. It is also a good resource for students doing any sort of research project on the subject. ~ Reviewed by Jules Wagner

This book explains the experiences of the transgender community, from the perspective of someone who is transgender. Everything about this book just made me feel so accepted and welcomed in the community, gave me a warm feeling when reading it during the cold February winter while recovering from wisdom teeth surgery. Gender: Your Guide is a great resource for anyone questioning, anyone in the community who feels alone, anyone who knows someone in the community and wishes to support them, and is also non-binary friendly! ~ Reviewed by Jules Wagner
