Seth J. Gillihan, PhD, is a licensed psychologist, podcast host, and creator of the Think Act Be online school. He specializes in evidence-based mindful cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression, anxiety, OCD, insomnia, and related conditions. Seth is the best-selling author of several books, including Mindful Cognitive Behavioral Therapy; The CBT Deck for Kids and Teens (co-authored with his daughter Ada); The CBT Deck; The CBT Deck for Anxiety, Rumination, and Worry; The CBT Flip Chart; A Mindful Year (co-author); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Made Simple; and Retrain Your Brain. Seth served on the faculty in the psychiatry department at the University of Pennsylvania and taught full-time in the psychology department at Haverford College. He has co-authored over forty book chapters and peer-reviewed research articles, and has presented his research nationally and internationally. He lives near Philadelphia with his wife and three kids. Faye L. L. Gillihan was delighted when her father asked her if she wanted to help him create a CBT flip chart for kids her age. She immediately said yes. Faye has been a fan of CBT and mindfulness practices for several years, even using some of the cards from the CBT Deck for Kids and Teens that her father and sister wrote to help her through the anxiety she experienced in first grade. Faye's favorite hobbies are reading (especially the Harry Potter series), playing with her guinea pig, and writing pounds of books.
