This is a story of friendship and loyalty as two good friends-one a spot on the ceiling, and one a spot on the floor - get covered with paint, and carpet, and can't see each other anymore. Even so, they hold on to the memory of their friendship and, over the years, as the paint peels, and the carpet frays, they find each other again. They are thrilled. Their hope and patience is rewarded.
Catharine B Rachlin, Author-I used to tell this story to my daughter and grandchildren. They all remembered it fondly and encouraged me to write it down. I hope others who read or listen to our story will enjoy it as much.
Mary Ellen Manock, Illustrator-I especially like the challenge of efficiently saying with pictures what words cannot. It was fun to blend my take on Cathy's story with her words. I have done this work in acrylics.
