In this collection of poetry, prose and pastels the author shares her life from growing up in the Bronx to post-retirement in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Her stories tell of adventures in and out of the classroom as a student and educator spanning fifty years. With humor and warmth, the author recounts memories that range from being a “Latchkey” kid to bringing student teachers to teach in Antigua. In her poems, such as “Hides of March” and “A Nursery Rhyme for Adults,” the author makes witty observations of familiar experiences. Joyce enjoys her life in Saratoga Springs with her husband of 56 years, Don, and sharing her interests in writing, painting, and traveling with their daughters Rochelle and Madalynn, son-in-law Scott, and granddaughters Sara and Emily.
