Staff Reviews

Creepy, cultish, and all around confusing, you follow a group of young girls sucked into a lie built around a snake and a man who calls himself "Uncle". I found myself being led through a maze of lies and by the end, I felt as though I had to question everything I had just read. The story made my skin crawl in the best way!
After tragedy strikes Altnaharra and all are dead with the exception of one girl, everyone begins to question what they know about the group of people that lived on the isle. Was anyone who they said they were or were they all made ghosts to society?
I thought I knew everything about this book by page 50 but the ending blew my socks off. I feel like I know nothing! Highly recommend, it was incredible! — Kylie Thalheimer

A reckoning beyond Eve’s imagination begins when Chief Inspector Black arrives to investigate a brutal murder and their sacred ceremony goes terribly wrong.

And soon all the secrets of Altnaharra will be uncovered.
