This book is totally and completely badass.
A writer retreats to an AirBnb'd cabin in the woods with his wife and toddler in an attempt to focus on his screenwriting. His editors are chomping at the bit for a sequel to his successful earlier film, and they need something. Yesterday.
Not long after arriving in the cabin, things seem a little off.
Reflections aren't working the way should, according to the law of physics. Doorways seem to lead to carbon copies of the same room. Who put that wall there? That wasn't there yesterday. And who is in the photo? There were no photos here.
Soon, the paranormal anxieties give way to very real accusations of infidelity and screaming matches between the screenwriters and his wife, leaving him and his daughter alone.
