Jack Prelutsky is the best-selling author of more than fifty books of poetry, including The New Kid on the Block, illustrated by James Stevenson, and Stardines Swim High Across the Sky, illustrated by Carin Berger. Jack Prelutsky lives in Washington State.

Ruth Chan thinks the best stories always have at least one character with googly eyes. She is the illustrator of Mervin the Sloth Is About to Do the Best Thing in the World and the creator of the Georgie and Friends picture books. She writes and illustrates her stories to the sound of her dog’s and cat’s snoring in Brooklyn, New York.
