A wonderful collection of stories, some more fantastical than others, of life behind the scenes of the Metropolitan Museum in NYC. We read about many of the works of art that are on display today, some of those in storage in the bowels of the museum, the people that work with them on a daily basis, and the people that visit them. If you’re a museum junkie, you’ll swoon over this collection of exquisitely written gems. Coulson took a sabbatical from working in the museum itself to write this book, and her intimate knowledge shines through, she has surely created a work of art worthy to be placed there itself. ~ Reviewed by Becky Doherty
