Tuesdays at the Castle

Every Tuesday the castle cleans house. Or more likely, magically creates new rooms, hallways and passageways. Or, will take away the same. Or edit what is already there. Princess Celie (or CeCe) has the foresight to map out the twists and turns of her beloved castle.  And when danger threatens her, her siblings and her family’s claim to the throne, it is a good thing she has! Because it is up to CeCe to use this knowledge to stop an evil foreign prince from trying to take over!

In Tuesdays at the Castle, Jessica Day George (of Dragon Slippers, Dragon Spear and Dragon Flight fame) has created a new, plucky heroine for the ages. CeCe is a fun-loving, powerful girl who is realistic, sweet and someone you want as a friend.  Tuesdays at the Castle is a must read for girls (and boys) ages 8 to 10. But adults will wonder can CeCe, her siblings and the castle stop the dangers that lurk around the corner? Humor, adventure and just the right amount of fantasy opens up a world that will make turning the page a delight! You’ll hold your breath wondering, waiting and having an adventure right along with our delightful characters.

After reading Tuesdays you’ll want more adventures of Princess Celie. And while they are on their way, you will have to wait a little while. But never fear you can find other books by George (and other princess stories) on the shelves of the Northshire Bookstore!
