Author Monte Burch is a full-time freelance writer, illustrator, and photographer, and has contributed to numerous outdoor, gardening, and general-purpose magazines. Author of more than 70 books, he also created the Sunday comic strip, “The Good Earth Almanac.” Monte and his wife, Joan, live on a farm in the Missouri Ozarks that is managed for wildlife.
