Eighth Army detectives George Sueno and Ernie Bascom are back for their fifth adventure in Martin Limon's The Wandering Ghost ($24.00). Set in mid 1970's Korea the two cops are looking for a missing female MP. Is she AWOL, kidnapped or dead? In their search the two mavericks uncover a murder, a black market scheme that includes all military ranks and the ghost of a young girl recently run over by an Army jeep. Just as entertaining as Limon's Door to Bitterness and Slicky Boys.

“[A] fine military mystery.”—Publishers Weekly

Corporal Jill Matthewson, the only female military police officer assigned to Camp Casey in the Korean Demilitarized Zone, is missing. Sueño and Bascom are dispatched from Eighth Army headquarters in Seoul to help locate her. They discover a murder that has been concealed, rampant black marketeering, and corruption and confront crooked officers, rioting Korean civilians, and the wandering ghost of a schoolgirl who has been run down by a speeding army truck.

Martin Limón is the author of four previous novels, Jade Lady Burning, Slicky Boys, Buddha’s Money, and The Door to Bitterness, all available from Soho Crime. His debut novel, Jade Lady Burning, was a New York Times Notable Book of the Year.
