Northshire Bookstore Review(s)

Reviewed By... MacIntosh Swan

Quite an interesting collection. Sketchbook pages from Sophie Crumb(daughter of Robert), a strange self examination from french comic artist Lewis Trondheim, as well as an exquisite wordless comic from Emile Bravo following two brothers through a horrible day in Palestine. These are not the only gems, but they are probably the shiniest.

Publisher Comments

The sixth volume of the acclaimed quarterly comics anthology.

This acclaimed, reasonably priced, quarterly anthology runs approximately 120 pages per volume and spotlights a regular cast of a dozen of today's most exciting cartoonists. Mome is quickly earning a reputation as the premiere literary anthology in comics. Think of something like The Believer or Grantaespecially in regard to iconic design, format, and contentbut with comics. Featuring new comics by Andrice Arp, Gabrielle Bell, Jonathan Bennett, Jeffrey Brown, Martin Cendreda, Sophie Crumb, David Heatley, Tim Hensley, Paul Hornschemeier, Anders Nilsen, Zak Sally, and Kurt Wolfgang.

Gary Groth and Eric Reynolds both live in Seattle and spend their days at Fantagraphics Books.
