Northshire Bookstore Review(s)

Reviewed By... Lucy Gardner Carson

Multiple-crossing (way more than double-crossing) art thieves pursued by art-specialist detectives Europe-trot between the galleries, museums, auction houses, and universities of Rome, Paris, and London, leaving in their wake a twisted path of mystery, intrigue, and betrayal that eventually leads to a [sort of] happy ending. The intricate and complex plot is overlaid with a web of carefully crafted confusion spun with forgeries and bizarre clues that keep the reader guessing about the who's and why's--and even the what's--until the very end.

Armchair travelers and linguaphiles will get a kick out of this idiom-sprinkled tale and its distinctly European flavor.
