Tupelo finding herself on the side of the road with only her sock toy, Mr. Bones, sets off to find a place where she belongs. Along the way, Tupelo meets some interesting dogs (and people). The book starts with a time line (hidden in a flap format) of famous dog events as well as throughout the story hints about the actual star, Sirius. Other surprises are "hidden" in flap format as well. Adults will enjoy some of the more subtle humor while kids of all ages will be rooting for Tupelo!
