Little Mermaid (1989)

The film that marked the renaissance of animation at the Disney Studios and rightfully so. This is one of the very best animated features ever made, easily on a par with Snow White and Pinocchio. The Little Mermaid boasts strong characters, especially the delightfully evil Ursula (voiced by Pat Carroll), breathtaking animation, and a musical score that could compare to anything ever written for Broadway.
