Alasdair Fraser is one of my top 3 favorite fiddlers ever, and this is yet another enjoyable recording. The partnership with Ms. Haas cello is stunning as they trade off melodies and harmonies and even rhythmic layers of sound. Most of the tunes are traditional or composed in the traditonal mode. There is a little extra twist from the classical backgrounds and modern sensibilities of these musicians. The track I listen to over and over is The Sailor's Wife/The Lads Of Duns.
