The small size of this book belies the wealth of information that it contains. Forty-five scenic and interesting short hikes are detailed along with in-depth essays on historical events and the natural environment. All the things you would expect in a good guidebook are here, and it is geared toward walkers of all ages and abilities. Small enough to fit in a day pack, and full of easy to moderate rambles through the most picturesque and unspoiled sections of Southern Vermont.
