Clive Owen plays a man determined to find out the circumstances of his younger brother's sudden suicide despite the fact that it means returning to a life that he has turned his back upon. Tough-as-nails psychological crime drama with a superlative cast that also includes Charlotte Rampling, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Malcolm McDowell. This is the kind of stylish noir movie that might once have attracted Humphrey Bogart. Owen, with his craggy features and few words, is a worthy successor to Bogey's crown.
