Always on the cutting edge of the "new" traditional Irish music scene, this supergroup is always re-inventing itself and sharing their vision with other musicians. In this recording The Duhks and Natalie Haas are among those who add spice and depth to the mix, which is rambunctious and dance crazy one minute and searingly soulful the next. Newcomer Mairead Phelan has a lovely voice and one of my favorite fiddlers, Winifred Horan is inspiring as usual. There is a more modern feel to this album, which may get these exciting musicians a wider audience.
