This cd is absolutely stunning. The vocals are slow and melodic creating a sense of intimacy in all of the songs. K.D. Lang has done a cover album that maintains the integrity of the original artist and song, yet at the same time allows Lang to own each of the songs that she sings. Her low, resonating vocals bring all of the emotion of the music to the top. She has a fabulous voice that invokes strong emotions in you as you listen. This is a fabulously mellow album that you'll want to sit back and enjoy. This is by far one of the best albums I have heard in the past few years.
