This is one of those little gems that somehow slip through the cracks when it is playing in theaters. Guarding Tess is a wonderful comedy/drama about the cranky widow of a United States president and the unfortunate Secret Service agent who is assigned to guard her. Miss MacLaine and Cage are in top form and their slowly evolving relationship is both believable and, ultimately, very touching. One of my favorite films!!!
