What is Valley Quest? Valley Quest is an organization devoted to fostering a balance of cultural, economic, and environmental well-being in the VT/NH region. What they have done in this book is to create a series of 89 "treasure hunts" that will lead you to secret places, historical places, and places rich in local history and culture. By making local history fun and accessible to children (and adults) of all ages, you come to have a greater sense of respect for local history-- A history that you perhaps never knew existed. This series of Valley Quests range from walking around towns to hiking to cemeteries and various other places. Some Quests have codes that you must crack in order to find your destination spot. Once you have successfully completed a quest there should be a box waiting for you with a stamp and a place to write a little "hello" to others that may be out on a Valley Quest. This is a great idea for parents, home-schoolers, or those out looking for an adventure.
