Atwood hits another home run with her latest collection! My favorite here is "Alphinland". I'll be here when you're ready to talk about your favorite! No, really, let's talk about these stories. ~ Reviewed by Jess Hanlon
Residents of Consilence live regimented lives sheltered from the chaos of economic and social collapse plaguing the world. Peace of mind, however, comes at a price higher than the citizens bargained for as their utopia becomes a nightmare they're unlikely to survive. ~ Reviewed by Jess Hanlon
Anna has always had trouble fitting in... that is until the Goldschmidts move in next door and recruit her as the newest member of their religious cult. Armed with newfound faith and fury, Anna prepares for the End of Days, dismissing her concerned parents as sinners who stand in the way of her path to greatness. Her choices lead to dire - and lethal - consequences. Weird, unexpected and often haunting, this is a book that won't leave your hands until the last page is turned - and which will live with you forever. ~ Reviewed by Jess Hanlon
Valenti puts into words what, unfortunately, so many women have experienced in their lifetimes by giving a stark account of her experience growing up in New York City. I closed the book with a sigh close to relief that, at last, there is a tangible account of the toll sexual harassment takes on a person, immediately passed the book to my sister, and encourage you to do the same. ~ Reviewed by Jess Hanlon
