Northshire Bookstore ReviewReviewed By... Cynthia RichardsThe Invention of Hugo Cabret (ages 9-
12) is a brilliant hybrid; a story told with words, photography, and
magnificent illustration. The introduction directs: "Picture yourself
sitting in the darkness, like the beginning of a movie." A series of

While I am happily ensconced in the Northshire's children's department ,
I read all over the store. If you graze my reviews, you will find my favorite books,
from toddler picture books to Nobel Prize winning fiction,
and even some toys and gifts. A retailer for going on 20 years, I owned
Bear Hugs and Baby Dolls, a specialty store in New York City for eight.
I have two children, both avid readers, and two dogs - Daisy and Tail.
