Northshire Bookstore Review Reviewed By... Chris Morrow
This was my first James Lee Burke book and I was very impressed! Filled with highly memorable characters and current plot lines (immigration, racism, abusive law enforcement) Burke kept me turning pages late into the night. This book is not for the faint of heart - very graphic violence is throughout. But the characters were so good that I was swept away. Entertaining and poignant.

Northshire Bookstore ReviewReviewed By... Chris MorrowThe second in the World Made by Hand trilogy, Witch of Hebron carries forward the memorable characters and situation of book one. This is a good story with fine writing - you do not need to be interested in the social commentary to enjoy it. T... read more>>>

The End of Growth covers economics, the environment and energy and the interplay between them to show why we have entered an era of no growth. This is a sobering book to be sure, but part of the message is that we have to enter the future withe eyes wid... read more>>>

Growing up in the bookstore was a treat. Books have literally been in my blood since I was young. Now i mostly read books about the state of the world or the various possible futures we might face. I hope books, learning, communication, dialog, and the chance to ponder possibilities beyond our everyday lives will contribute to a world which thrives culturally, economically and environmentally.
