Northshire Bookstore Review Reviewed By... Chris Morrow
This was my first James Lee Burke book and I was very impressed! Filled with highly memorable characters and current plot lines (immigration, racism, abusive law enforcement) Burke kept me turning pages late into the night. This book is not for the faint of heart - very graphic violence is throughout. But the characters were so good that I was swept away. Entertaining and poignant.

Quirky take of a hitman who, at the top of his game, develops a passion for art and architecture. What happens when his job as a contract killer interferes with visits to museums and art galleries makes for both a gritty and delightful read.
