Tupelo finding herself on the side of the road with only her sock toy, Mr. Bones, sets off to find a place where she belongs. Along the way, Tupelo meets some interesting dogs (and people). The book starts with a time line (hidden in a flap format) of famous dog events as well as throughout the story hints about the actual star, Sirius.
