A very special novel. The reader is invited into the fascinating world of Victorian communication through flowers. We also become deeply involved in the life of a young girl who has just turned 18 and failed in the foster care system. She as well as the other characters are ultimately healed and enriched by the language of flowers.

Great story! I couldn't stop reading about these "birthday sisters"... how their lives intertwined and diverged. Family dynamics are cleverly woven throughout, and the 1960's rural New Hampshire setting was familiar and comforting.

Northshire Bookstore Review Reviewed By... Karen Frank
A novel that reads like a memoir with that ring of truth. The pages cannot turn fast enough as the reader hitches a ride through a well-lived life. Full of wonderful "behind the scenes" French culinary facts and the amazing characters who shaped this young Indian man's lifelong dream to open a world class restaurant.
