The Clock is a beautifully understated drama/romance, set during World War II, about a soldier (Robert Walker) on a two day leave, who meets, falls in love with, and decides to marry a young woman (Judy Garland) in the brief time that he has. Quite simply, one of the best and most moving films I have ever seen. Exquisite performances by all, but Walken is transcendent in this multi-generational saga of a family sent on a quest for redemption
