This quintessential summer picture book has remained a favorite of mine for more than 10 years! Wesley knows he's an outcast from civilization, but wallow he does not. He acts on his vast knowledge of history and creates a civilization of his own as a summer project, ultimately turning his tormentors into followers.

Anniversary edition of the proud, but silly goose who finds a book, carries it around with her and proceeds to dispense all sorts of ill advice. Told with gentle, wry humor Petunia will inspire a new generation.

It might be a "tale cooked up in Ireland" but it is a story for all. Kate, in a botched attempt to help a friend in need, must try and save the lives of herself and her family. In one tall tale after another, Kate attempts to impress upon the Prince that their situation is not as bleak as it may seem. This is a funny tale that is accented extremely well with brightly colored illustrations. Ages 5-8.

Listening to this being read any less than a million times as a child simply was not enough. Everything about this book enchanted me; Paris, rhyming, Miss Clavell, tigers and of course....Madeline herself.
