During a brief truce during WWI, a soldier frees a bird trapped in the barbed wire of No Man's Land on a Christmas morning. Beautiful, touching story of a bit of kindness in the middle of a war. A special story that is a wonderful gift for adults as well as an older child. The illustrations are amazing, the perfect addition to this great story.

Of all the books I read to my toddler son (30 years ago), this is the one I still cherish the most. The POETRY! The PICTURES! This marvelous book gives parent and child that wonderful feeling of being in touch with the universe and each other, and it lasts a lifetime.

After consulting her computer (after all witches rarely have crystal balls now), Bella learns that witches can not change themselves into the princess she wants to be. So, she must find another non-magical way. A great story about a courageous witch and being yourself. Fun illustrations add to this great adventure that is not just for Halloween, but year around. A must have for your princess.
