This trilogy is still one of my favorite. A dark, gritty fantasy whose flawed characters I became attached, especially Logen and Glotka. The first novel starts a little slow but the payoff is worth it.

An industrial accident, blamed on the inventor Leviticus Blue, leaves Seattle a walled zombie infested city. Years later Leviticus's son, Zeke, breaks back into the city looking for clues to clear his father's name. Its up to his mother Briar, a great character, to save him.
